Every week I run out of good food, caffeinated goods, alcohol, and everything. And all throughout the day I want to die. Then comes the stress of between 6:30 and 8:30 as I wait for the pay, as it is at a different time EVERY week. GAH

You are a terrible human being.
A lot of vegans are vegan to help humans too; the meat industry harms humans too. The only thing vegans would have against humans is the fact that humans are the cause of this enormous animal holocaust. Also, many humans die from artery-clogging animal fat every day too. We emphasize our love for non-human animals because so little people really, truly appreciate them.
I place human life above all else. Being human, I feel it is correct to do so. I eat meat, but I buy locally from ethical farmers. Same as my vegetables. I think meat eating is perfectly natural, but that does not excuse irrational violence against animals. Equally it does not excuse people who don’t believe in meat eating to react with irrational violence against humans, which is all too often the case.
Animals can and should be farmed ethically. We should only farm what is needed to supply the populace with food, I dislike this society of excess, but it is unavoidable in a modern capitalist society. Slaughter in excess, in my mind, is almost as bad as animal cruelty and brutality. It is taking a life without cause.
On the humans who die from artery-clogging, they are normally those who eat in excess, well beyond their needs. This greed causes their deaths and the deaths of many, many animals all in the name of eating more than you need just because.
I appreciate all life, but I believe life must consume life in order for life to continue. We don’t hate lions for eating the antolope, nor should we hate humans for eating beef. It is the way it is. What we should hate is what I described above: greed, unnecissary slaughter, abuse, cruelty and the likes.
You can enjoy meat and still be an ethical human.
